IPI Conference 2026 – Presentation by TIGRES
At the IPI Conference 2026, taking place on 24–25 November 2026 in Neuss, TIGRES will present a technical paper entitled ‘Plasma treatment for optimal printing results’.
In many industrial printing applications, materials with low surface energy, coated substrates or engineering plastics place particular demands on the wettability and adhesion of the printing materials. A specifically tailored plasma surface treatment can offer significant advantages in such cases.
The presentation demonstrates how the use of plasma can optimise the surface properties of challenging materials to achieve stable droplet formation, improved wetting and reliable adhesion of the printed structures. Using practical examples, solutions for reproducible print results in industrial printing processes are presented.
The speaker is Peter van Steenacker, Sales Manager and industrial electronics technician, who has been working in the sales of plasma systems since 1998. He has many years of experience with plasma jets (APPJ), DBD plasma for 2D and 3D applications, and vacuum plasma. He also regularly delivers specialist presentations, seminars, webinars and training courses on plasma surface treatment. At TIGRES, he heads the PlasmaXperience knowledge platform, which promotes the exchange of expertise on industrial plasma applications.
